Update on Tier 5

Hello to Everyone and Thank You for stopping by today.
I did not have the opportunity to post yesterday because of personal matters that I had to contend with.

I feel it appropriate to everyone that reads this blog that you know that information on this issue can be somewhat limited. I find many articles and opinions  that are posted but not of the latest information. I try to be very aware of the news and updates on this issue.

I was just reading an article about Senators Schumer (D-NY) and Stabenow (D-MI) that there is something in the works and it does point to the fact that the time is running short because Congress and the Senate will end this week before going on vacation for the month of August.

I have also read that as of July 31, there will be up to another million people that will have exhausted their unemployment benefits. It is of Extreme Importance that this issue be addressed and a solution be brought forth so that the people that run out of benefits can be reinstated as soon as possible.  I made a call to The White House yesterday to leave a comment for President Obama about Tier 5 but I wound up waiting for a long period of time and finally had to hang up.

I don’t know if I have stated this before, but as this is my first blog that might be actually getting some readers. I want you to know that I do read all of the comments and emails that are sent to me. It’s important to me to try and be as open minded and as fair as I can be in what I’m posting. I don’ t want to single out one person or thing and bring that to a negative light. So, I just thought that was important to mention and if this is redundant then my apologies.

Latest Information on 99′ers Plight

Good Afternoon: I wanted to post some information about what the current status is of the Tier 5 activity.

I was doing some research and found that “Tier 5″ has two advocates for the unemployment extension. Senators Chuck Schumer (D-NY ) and Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) are advocating for the “99ers” and although it seems that information at this time is limited, it is good to know that something may be in the works.

On a personal level I must say that this is the very first time that I have started a blog of this nature. In my personal life I am not someone that addresses political things of this nature, but I feel compelled to do this blog because I have seen so many posts and articles about the millions of people in this country that are experiencing this issue-myself included. In the last 4 months since I lost my unemployment benefits we have experienced many financial heartaches. This is personal to me and I want to do whatever I can to help ALL of US in this situation.  I simply cannot believe that an extension would be passed without any consideration of the people that need this help just as much as the rest of the unemployed masses out there including the “99ers”.

So, just know that I am reading and searching and calling and emailing anyone that might even listen to us and do something to help us out. I want to thank those of you that have posted comments and know that I read all of them. If you know someone else who is a “99er” please encourage them to stop by and read this blog. I’m going to try and figure out how the RSS feeds work so that I can link to one and keep consistent and constant news on this Extremely Important Issue on this blog. As always I encourage you to post comments, questions, and anything that you feel is pertinent to this important issue.

Senator Schumer on Fast Track

I just read an article that indicated Senator Charles (Chuck) Schumer is on the fast track to try and get an extension for the “99ers”. The article did not indicate a time line but I personally hope that it will be before the end of next week when both Congress and the Senate break for the month of August and summer break.

I suggest a google search for “99ers” and  “tier 5″ for more information on this issue that affects millions of people that have run out of their Unemployment Benefits.

99ers we will not be forgotten

Okay, so the unemployment extension has been passed. President Obama got the Senate and Congress to put their differences aside and do what seems right for the people that need unemployment benefits. But that’s not the remedy for everyone. What about the so called “99er’s ” the people that no longer have any unemployment benefits left. I decided to use my voice and the power of the Internet to do my part to help the “99er’s”. I too am a “99er” and I need benefits too. I want to find others out in this country who are “99ers” and what their stories are and try to find a way to get the help that we need too. The government has to do what is right and help all of us. I myself have a strong standing on the Internet and I’m a persistent person and I’m going to do what I can to get our message out there. So, leave a comment, tell me your story and if you know someone that you think might be able to help.
